A lot of amateur dive shops / mega-sportcenters don't really know what freediving fins are, so they don't sell many of them... thus they often place their inventory on sale to move them.
I've seen freediving fins at highly discounted prices at Sport Chalet a couple times. The salesman told me to stay away from them because they were way too long to use. Obviously, he never freedives. Sometimes a lack of knowledge on a store's part results in great deals!
