i just spent a week in kona in april. there is info on the internet about shore diving in kona. the dive shops are great. you will have to go off the beaten path but the best diving is about 45 miles s. of kona. there is a book of shore divng sites by a person known as dick the diver. it is on the net for free or readily available in kona. the worst dive that we had was epic. aloha
