i spent a week on the Grand Island. It really depends what you want as far as the non-diving activities. If you are looking for a very relaxing vacation. I would go with a lodge on the East end. Cayman Diving Lodge, East End. This is an all inclusive lodge. The people are nice and the facilities are beautiful. Lets see, food is very good three meals a day. Bar is self serve. They have a tally sheet so you mark down what you drink. The boats are set up for aprox 16 divers max. You depart from their docks. Extra dives are avaliable daily. John and Linda Gillepie (owners) 1-800-TLC-DIVE. I realy enjoyed my visit there. Keep in mind it is a 30-35 min taxi ride to the party strip on the seven mile side. This is a get away!!!! It has been 2 yrs since I have been ther give them a call. Good luck!
