La Bufadora is great diving -- it's probably 5-10 degrees colder than L.A. thanks to the Humboldt Current (I think) from Alaska that swings in close to the coast there.
The colder water makes for very colorful and varied marine life similar to that found in northern California.
I highly recommend diving with Dale Irwin's operation -- you can't miss his shop. Let me know if you need his phone number.
