Avalon has a variety of hotels and prices. I suggest you call the Catalina Chamber of Commerce for a list of hotels and prices. The Metropole Hotel is a good choice but not the cheapest. On the low end try the Atwater Hotel, probably about $100.00 per night. For dinner try the Busy Bee Cafe on the waterfront for low cost but good food. If you want expensive, try the Country Club or Villa Portofino. For transportation over use Catalina Express or Catalina cruises at about $38 round trip per person.
