I was on a 3 day dive trip on the Conception in early June . The captain Jerry said he new of a high spot I belive east of Anacapa . I was supprised as I have only dove spots up close to the island . One of the deck hands said the last time they were their they saw some large black sea bass . Most on board were game for the dive . I was first in with my spear gun as the deckhand had said they saw some yellow tail their also . I belive it was about 115' at the top . Covered with more brittle stars than Brittle Star Reef at Santa Barbara . I saw some large Calicos at a distence of course . The black sea bass were not home . If this is the spot you are talking about their was vary little structure . I chose not to go any deeper as I was alone . Oh here comes the flaming . I did make the dive with my 13 cu/ft. poney bottle . Because of the depth the dive was short . Not much going on . Others who dove after me saw 2 or 3 Mola-Mola .
