andrew, if you want to get more detailed info about
classes, the thing to do is to find a local
dive shop in your neighborhood. the BEST thing
to do is to find a shop that other divers recommend,
but i can't personally help you w/the bay area.

as far as what temps to expect, the bay area is not
going to be changing water temps dramatically between
winter and summer months. the water temps in your
area are ~45-55 degrees F. in socal, the typical water
temps are ~55-65F, w/the occasional 70-75F (70-75F
is typical during el nino seasons).

as far as what to expect in class work, here are some
