You can start by picking up the phone book and looking up any dive shops in your area. The dive shop in which you choose to do business with can then help you with all of your instruction and certification needs. While your there, see if they have a California Diving News Magazine, which by the way is free. Look in the back under dive clubs and you will find all of the local dive clubs in your area. After certification, join club, go dive.
