MHK is proposing regulations/restrictions for diving the Yukon, just
ones driven by the dive boats of SD, not by whatever gov
agency has jurisdiction.

Mike, not only is this misguided given that the wreck is
perfectly accessible to even OW divers that know enough not
to go inside, or that divers should be able to assess their
abilities, but I think it could also backfire badly.

In the past, forums like this have been sued for hosting
content considered by some to be slanderous. The usual
defense is either 1st ammendment, or that it would be too
difficult to monitor so closely. This defense usually works,
but becomes less acceptable on the sites that actively monitor
and censor bad content.

If the powers that be want to close off access to the Yukon
because it offers the possibility of overhead diving, they
put themselves at great risk if they don't do the same
for any other penetrable wrecks (ruby e?). Those dying at
the oil rigs would be rather interested why you weren't willing
to protect them from themselves there as well. You can't
win. Far better just to let them take care of themselves.
