My wife wanted to try her double LP80's for the first time yesterday so we went to Long Point, Catalina. We consider this site a "baby dive" site and thought it would be best if she could practice her buoyancy skills with two steel tanks without having to think about depth, bad vis or currents. It turned out to be a great decision, as we saw three Black Seabass on the same dive for the first time. Two were about three feet long, with the third being about fout feet. My wife did fine with two tanks and is ready for some deep wrecks, but I won't discount Long Point as a "been there, done that" site anymore.
