I will be visiting the Monterey area on 8/28 and 29 and will have the chance to get one afternoon of diving in. I am an intermediate level diver that has not been to this area before. I wonder if anyone can suggest the best area within 30 minutes of Pebble Beach. I am also looking to rent equiprment and will need a guide. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have heard that off Carmel is some pretty good diving. What are the differences between Carmel and Monterey Bay? Comments and auggestions are appreaciated before 8/26
