Ken I concur that this moron is drawing an inaccurate conclusion. He might want to read his own post where it stated "He had been submerged for several minutes before Stokley could reach him and bring him to the surface, reports said". Several minutes!
Ralph, is your understanding of the buddy system just being in the same body of water as another known diver? Get a freak'n grip and quit shooting down a proven system that you obviously have 0 comprehesion of. The system is about SAFETY. There is nothing unsafe about the buddy system.
Ralph you are a hazard to the diving community when you spew crap like that. Last week I witnessed the crud results of a diver who did it wrong. Im happy to say that his family will finally have his corps (whats left of it) to bury. Please stop inciting such irresponsible activity such as solo diving.
