PADI must change there entire mentality. Whether or not the standards will be equivalent to IANTD, TDI or GUE is only part of the equation. If you have been telling your instructors for years and years that you must positively reinforce your students and pass otherwise unqualified divers up the food chain you are doing a disservice. PADI has long ago sold out in favor of market share.
2 years ago they were arguing that NITROX was snake oil and voodoo gas and now they want to teach trimix.. Give me a break. Telling someone in the *unlikely event...* that does NOT cut it in teh tech world. In teh tech world shit can and will happen. You need to fail students, you need to tell them to gain more experience before they move up and all of these are very inconsistent with the way that PADI currently runs things.
