Ken, diving alone is a bad idea. And setting up a set of standards for it is even a worse idea. I know that some of the divers on the list feel they are hot stuff, after all they can dive alone to 200 ft(and feel comfortable), or dive 7 tanks a day and wear out 3 buddys, or do 100ft. free
ascents,or penetrate wrecks alone.
But for most divers it is better that they have a back-up (buddy) encase something happens. Setting up standards for diving alone gives creditability to this type of irresponsible behavior.
We should be talking about team diving, or how to make a better buddy team, not stardards for diving alone.
