My favorite is a complete newbie that I can show around and everything is completely new.
.
I find that some people just naturally move the same way I do. It's easy to buddy with them and easy to keep a mutual awareness.
.
When I was in Belize I had to buddy dive on a live aboard. The girl I was with was a Carribean local and a fantastic diver. She was easy to buddy with. We naturally zigged and zagged together... Then she took me into the small spaces of the reef that she knew and that I would never have penetrated on my own. Diving with someone who knows more than you is much fun.
I was with a diver in Palm Beach. Very competent. Easy to stay with, though he had no agenda... He was the first diver I met with some DIR configuration.
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
