Hi Terry,

I used to backpack often into the Sierras via the ferry on Edison Lake. From there is was just 3 1/2 mile up Bear Creek to the top of the Sierras. My son, who you know, made that trek starting when he was 8. We once had a bear break into my Grand Wagoneer at Edison and tear up the entire interior trying to get back out. Driving home on milk crates was intesting.

I never thought about what might be under Edison, though I knew there must be a lot of boats under Huntington. Too bad I dive so damned much, I miss that country. Huntington's at 7,500 ft. I can't imagine what kind of deco you'd have to do on a 175 ft. dive at that altitude but I bet there's some interesting stuff in that old bomber.
