Fred, O2 compatible means that the regulator can be O2 cleaned. The manufacturer states that the regulator is compatible(engineered) to be O2 cleaned.
Compatibility means that all of the materials in contact with the gas (oxygen)are not reactive.
I don't know of any manufacturer that recommends their regulators being used with Nitrox over 40%.
