Thanks for the report Ken. FTR, Ken and I were both on the Great Escape yesterday so Ken did give me the full report prior to me reading it here.
But further to our discussion last week, this incident to me points out exactly what I have been saying. While I don't believe a buddy is a 100% bullet prrof life saver, he/she can make all the difference in the world.
In this particular case, the buddy was the difference between Ken doing a rescue versus a body search.
I pray the this woman recovers fully, and thankfully she is given that chance because she made it to the surface, the quick actions of Ken Kurtis and the great response by the paramedics, chamber, doctors and everyone else involved.
In a sport were seconds means the difference between living and dieing the buddy can and does make all the difference..
