There is an excellent dive site right at the lighthouse. Just to the south of the light is a parking lot(usually filled with windsurfers and motorhomes). Enter the water just north of the parking lot and you will find rocky reefs with eel grass between them. Look for Lingcod, Wolfeels and Leopard Sharks. There are also lots of Dungeness Crabs. Diving here is limited to calm days only and I would look for a buddy who knows the site well, as winds and waves can be a major problem. San Simeon Point offers good diving as well, and if the conditions are good on your way down you might want to try Monastary Beach, Partington Cove or Jade Cove. Have a great time. The central coast has some great unspoiled diving if the conditions warrant it.
