Michael Kane will speak to the San Diego Council of Divers on the Doing It Right (DIR) approach to diving on Thursday, October 12, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. The SDCOD's meeting will be held at the Marina Village Conference Center, 1936 Quivira Road, San Diego, CA 92109.

Meetings of the San Diego Council of Divers are open to the public. All divers are welcome. Whether or not you adopt the DIR philosophy and gear configuration for your own diving, DIR has much information for the thoughtful recreational diver.

Directions:
The Marina Village Conference Center is located at 1936 Quivira Road in the Mission Bay area of San Diego. For reference, the berths for the Lois Ann, the Blue Escape, and the Dive Connections dive boats are all located on Quivira Road.

From the northeast, east, or south, take I-8 west to the Sports Arena
exit, go north on Ingraham over the San Diego River, take the turnoff
onto West Mission Bay Drive, at the first stoplight turn left (south)
onto Quivira Road and then bear left (east).

From the north, take I-5 south to the Sea World Drive exit, go west on
Sea World Drive, take the turnoff onto West Mission Bay Drive, at the
first stoplight turn left (south) onto Quivira Road and then bear left
(east).
