I think the idea to go with is that it should be your
last rig. With the backplate and harness, all you
need to adjust depending on the type of diving you
will do is the wings. You would use the Pioneer's
for single tank diving and the Explorer's for doubles
and more extended diving.

The trim provided by the backplate/wing setup is to
be 'horizontal' not vertical (as MHK posted). But DIR
also addresses your hose and gauge setup as well as
the rig. The best discussion I've seen is on the GUE
site (www.gue.com).
