Mainly because of the costs. A commercial diver I know said they lived on 6/88/6 Heliox mixes in the North Sea oil fields working at 500-600 fsw from a bell. Those mixes are of course quite expensive. The mixes Jim was referring to cost around $16. for a 80 at Jim's shop.
