What a great way to get introduced to the Yukon and wreck diving in general. As a strictly open-water recreational diver, I found your lecture really informative (still working on those baselines for an AL80 ;-)) and the non-penetrating dives around the wreck a joy. I doubt I'll ever have much wreck diving in my future, but if I ever do, at least I have an idea of how much I need to learn to do it safely.

More importantly, I got a real idea of what diving the Yukon is all about. On the surface (pun intended) it looks like such an easy wreck dive - easy access from the surface, lots of holes, and many inviting nooks and crannys to explore. But it's also dark, the visibility is not so great (especially in the afternoon when we dove), the ship is on it's side, and already it's coated with algae that peels off the sides of the wreck when bumped or touched. It's not the kind of place I'd want poke my head in for a casual swim through. It has to be approached with respect and planning.
