There is a product out called Bonine. It is sold over the counter at most stores carrying cold medicines. It works pretty well, comes in a non-drousy formula, and is a chewable orange flavored tablet.

Have your friend take 2 tablets (dosage 1-2 tablets/24 hours) if she is prone to seasickness.
This stuff works. I use it every time I go fishing or diving and have not had a problem.
