Such a dramatic spike is probably an aberration, since
I can't think of anything that has changed in the last year.
Perhaps RSD's open endorsement of solo diving is fairly
new, but I can't imagine they have that much influence.
MHK and others fear it is a real trend, and are doing
what they think needs to be done to reverse it. So be it;
they haven't prevented you from doing what you want as yet.
