If memory serves me correctly I believe that we agreed to disagree. I do not recall agreeing to any other definition other than the fact that when the sh*t hits the fan you either have someone with you or you don't.

Not that I want to open up another can of worms but I NEVER signed off on the varying definitions of solo, independant or buddyless..

I believe these are linguistic distortions designed to polarize the issue. I recall providing a very broad definition specifically to include any person underwater without someone around to help if something happens.

Ken Kurtis came up with some nonsense about *buddyless* diving and Frank Farmer further degraded the discussion with some silliness about *independant* diving, which I still don't understand. I atleast understood what Ken Kurtis was talking about, although I don't necessarily agree with it, Frank mystifies the hell out of me...
