I actually agree with you that solo diving is more dangerous. Driving at night can probably be said to be more dangerous than driving in daylight, but I still find occasion to drive at night. It's a question of risk/reward and preaching won't change anyone's mind.

In the "poor training" thread, you just posted something important. You said that nothing you say will change Frank's mind and nothing he said would change yours (close enough). That's probably true of every solo diver in SoCal, diving being the ego swamped sport that it is. If you give up trying to convert the solo diver, then aren't you better off discussing a system of solo diving that has done well by Frank for 30+ yrs? Don't sell, just discuss. People are smart enough to evaluate the risk/reward on their own.
