All I can say is WOW! And thanks to ALL of you who showed at the meetings and wrote letters!!!!!!!!
I have it "on good authority" that at today's Commission meeting in San Diego, the Commission, even in the face of VOCAL commercial opposition, decided to include the UASC proposal as one of the potential measures they may adopt! This means there will be a 90 day discussion period (bring your big brother to any future Commission meetings if you plan to speak), and then they decide on which ones to adopt.
Now it's time to educate them as to why our proposal (and I say "OUR proposal" because you are all part of this effort) is the best course. It needs to be remembered that other measures will also need to be adopted along with the proposal to ensure that the resource and the public's rightful access to it is fully protected.
