Actually though, for a big chain, I think they do surprisingly good... That is they aren't much worse than a lot of shops. While many are as you have described, I have met many excellent divers associated with them. Also, they have a good selection at decent prices...usually, just don't pick on them with difficult questions... er even semi-difficult questions.
