Well, after all the recent discussions, I figure if you want me to dive your way, then I figure that you have to dive MHK's way... or we can all dive the way that is comfortable for us.
My basic rule is to go where others don't. It is the most beautiful, wild and unttouched.
I often swim and explore in the open areas like the HorseShoe kelp or the Bad Lands of Nic. I swim offshore of the islands, in the sand, out past the reefs. I learned to dive alone on the Central Coast, with the waves, wind, currents, cold and landlords... but no vis. With luck. week after next, I'll post about an all night swim after bugs. It starts deep in the fishing line and kelp. I avoid other divers, but that doesn't mean that I don't stalk them sometimes.
I can buddy (by any name) just fine, but it is my nature to travel alone.
Huh? I just dive.
Enjoy your diving, seahunt

A buddy is like a dive knife.
It gives a false sense of security and it's gone when you need it.

PS. May I recommend looking at www.diver.net/seahunt
There are numerous pics and also stories, many of which try to show the essance of what I feel diving is. You might like it.
