While out on a dive trip in the local Channel Islands I found a nice size, complete female lobster Molt. I was wonder if anyone out there has any suggestions for preserving such a find.
The goal is to be able to present the crustacean to students for educational purposes. Mounting the find on a piece of clear plastic was a thought for underside viewing and ease of handling. I am interested in keeping the bug remains as natural as possible. Any ideas on prep. and coatings would be greatly appreciated. Right now the carcass is laying flat on a piece of wood outside and the ants are not too much interested.
