though i understand that you were trying to be
helpful--and i do appreciate it--i think you
missed the boat on this one (again).

i was simply pointing out that there seems to
be a question of QUALITY for long hoses. from
what i gathered (i took that warning off a different
board and which was posted by a different diver)
is that SOME long hoses may not be of proper quality
for the needs of a primary reg. it seems like,
again according to the post i found, that SOME
long hoses are really meant for a 'cheap octopus'
and i just wanted to do my civic duty and bring
this issue to the attention of other divers who
may not be aware of this issue and who may be
shopping around for a long hose for their primary
reg.

again, i never mentioned 'dir' technique; i was
only mentioning quality of a product.

now, go back and reread the post again if you like.
