The person sounded like they were accusing me of
starting a rumor. Fact is, I heard it as a rumor
and was only seeking out others who may have heard
or seen the event take place. I doubt it was a rumor
though as 5-6 from the 22nd Street Landing approached
about it as well as one person who worked in the 22nd
Street Landing fishing office. when I got that type of
response, I figured there was something more to the
event than what I heard.

Re-read the reply I posted.

The persons at the 22nd Street Landing were the
ones asking me what happened. They do not know,
and I do not know Jim well enough (or even have
his phone number handy) to even attempt to inquire
about it with him.

I placed a call into the USCG Group Long Beach who
says there was an incident on Wednesday, but had
to do some checking on the parties involved. The
officer who was in charge of the distribution of this
type of information was gone for the day.

If it was a commercial vessel, it's well doccumentated
information available to the public. It's only a matter
of time.

I'm suprised the local media didn't pick up on it if
itv really happened. Being a member of the media, I
have seen events like this slip through before,
especially during the hustle and bustle of an election.

Time will tell... if it didn't happen, no matter.
