Frank Farmer asked;
Question: you know your primary on the 7' line is okay but how certain are you of the b/u under your chin?

While I could never be mistaken for a DIR diver, I occasionally breathe from my octo under my chin as a form of practice, usually during long boring DECO stops. Both of my regs are identical and they also match my wifes regs(same set-up)so there's less chance of one reg not working as well as another. Another use for the seven foot hose not previously mentioned is to share air during deco stops. I practiced this with a buddy once who was making a 40' stop while I was at my 30' stop. I was able to stay at about 34' with no problem.
