Okay, agreed that once you have the equivalent of a PhD in advanced technical diving and hundreds of hours of multi-depth experience the fun factor my reenter the equation. But what do you really gain that us poor mortal sport divers don't? Sense of accomplishment, membership in an elite group, more disposable income, ergo, higher socio-economic standing in the community? What? What do you see and experience that we don't? Deep, dark, dirty, and basically barren? I'll accept only one exception: historically significant deep wrecks. But maybe that's enough. You guys go where me and angels fear to tread. Or maybe, based on most of your posts, you're relieved I'm not treading after you!
