Cleaning encrusted gear

Just returned from a trip to HI where I found a Dacor Extreme Access dive computer at about 50'. It is encrusted with growth. I would like to clean it up before sending it in for service, etc. Any suggestions on how to clean it up? BTW the computer still works!
