Don't know if they have a position on it.. Most of the guys that I know within the DIR system ( George and JJ for sure ) don't drink as far as I know. I've been out with Ted Cole and we had a glass of wine at dinner, but Tamara, Andrew G, Mike Blitch, Chris Elmore, Scott Hunsucker, and a few other's didn't drink when I was with them..
So the answer is I don't know but I think we all agree that it clearly should NEVER be done while diving as Bret Gilliam would have us believe..
