Ahhhhh. The silence, do you hear it everyone ? The flame throwers have been laid down, and the scuba gear picked up !
Okay, so maybe the flame throwers just ran outta fuel, either way . .
I wanted to share with new and old divers alike a wonderful book I re-read every year or so.
The Silent World by Jacques-Yves Cousteau.
It taught me a lot about SCUBA diving, not the technical stuff, but the philosophy behind it. In this book he describes so many wonderful things. He was a spear-fisherman, he was a wreck diver, all long before there were certification cards with those names on it.
