LA Underwater Hockey has moved to an Indoor pool. We now play at South Gate Swim Stadium at South Gate Park Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 8:45 pm and we are looking for new players to join us!

Now that the weather has turned cool and our Saturday experiment has somewhat fizzled, we now have a new pool to play Underwater Hockey, and it's a great pool! The South Gate Indoor Swim Stadium is a marvelous indoor pool near the intersection of the 105 & 710 freeways at South Gate Park. Located in a good part of South Gate at 9520
Hildreth Avenue, pool bottom is a nice slick finish over a bottom made of aluminum that provides an excellent surface for the puck to slide. The pool temp is 84 degrees with a full 25 yard playing area. The park is just west of Atlantic Avenue, south of Firestone. The southern most edge of the park is on Tweedy. Truely this is one of the finest pools in Southern California that has been kept a secret for far too long.

The pool is in South East LA County a short drive from Downtown LA, the Southbay, Long Beach & Downey. If you've ever wanted to see what underwater hockey is about, come on out with your fins, mask and snorkle (pool mgmt asks you wear a bathing suit as well.) For more info, go to www.glacd.org and click on the hockey link.
