This would be a lot of really good info to get before purchase. While I didn't actually purchase my second stages, that would have been really good info to have. I researched at most of the newbie places (RSD, for one), and yet have never heard this particular explanation before (upstream vs. downstream). I have read a couple of people bag the Poseidens for the whole failing closed thing. But never an explanation of why. Thanks.
However, I'm still a bit confused about one thing. Is it the first or second stage that fails closed. Or is it some form of failure in the first stage that causes the failure in the second (overpressure?)?
Could someone please elaborate on the whole reg failure thing? Perhaps even as a new thread. I'm really interested in grasping the failure mechanics here. Nothing better than understanding how something works to be able to deal with it breaking.
Thanks guys,
JRM
