I think that when you layer together 3 sets of ski thermals,
the drysuit underwear comes out ahead. Except for the
first month, I've used the Mobby's suit and for the money
(225), I recommend it instead. Thick pile warmth, waterproof
exterior. And very easy to add an extra vest layer inside.

If you're already doing that, emphasize the core, and if
possible switch to full body rather than pieces that will
have a big draft at the waist.

As for gloves- if your hands get cold, use them by all means.
But I don't think it contributes much to your overall
sense of warm or cold during a dive. I don't use them
unless it's 50F or lower, and even then sometimes not if
I don't know the water temp in advance. I like having good
control, and I like to feel texture.
