I would accept DM escort and not complain. If i look like such a cluster-f%%k on the boat, then the DM has every right (IMHO, putting myself in the shoes of the DM) to be concerned). I also think that the local boats ought to request a look at the log book for some dives. I don't know if this would cause more problems than it would solve but for the oil rigs, or Farnsworth or San Miguel, i would think that it ought to be somewhat appropriate. BTW, i have around 100 logged dives (and a bunch that never made it into the log book or into log books that got lost) and OW cert in '96. I will steadfastly avoid getting DM cert given all the crap that gets heaped on DMs, worldwide.
