We just missed getting another wreck today.
U.S. Coast Guard personnel rescued two San Pedro men Monday aboard a 31-foot, 94-year-old vessel that began taking on water about a mile off Point Fermin.
Crews aboard a 41-foot rescue boat and a rigid hull inflatable were dispatched to the Foie, which was reported in danger of sinking about 11:15 a.m., Dan Tremper of the Coast Guard said.
One of those rescued was identified as Gerald McCabe, 72.
The Coast Guard also bailed out the vessel and towed it to Cabrillo Marina.
There were no injuries, Tremper said.
