I discussed this topic a few weeks ago, I believe it was Gerry who asked the question, and I wanted to clear up some confusion that I may have inadvertantley caused.
I just got back from Fla. and spent a few days with JJ discussing DIR as it relates to OW diver's.. JJ has confirmed that GUE will be releasing a book in the next couple of weeks.. While I was there they were laying it out and the only remaining task was to choose photo's.. The text is completed and then it will go to print.. JJ said it would be a few weeks to print and then it would be available for distribution...
I may have confused this book with a GUE open water class.. While GUE is in the process of creating such a class, this class will not be ready to go until spring 2001..
Sorry for the confusion but that's the latest scoop respecting GUE and open water...
