A Ft. Lauderdale man attempted to shoot an underwater Photo complete with a lit Christmas tree in approximately 18 feet of water. His intentions were to give framed enlargements to his friends as gifts.
A short circuit of the lighting system resulted in 110 volts surging through the divers metal regulator which melted several fillings in his mouth and simultaneously rendered the diver unconscious. Rescue divers were able to cut the power to the tree and revive the diver
and transport him to a local medical facility where he is reported in stable condition.
