now, that would be a good case for government interference: the standardization of certian critical safety features. It would be nice if all inflator units, gaskets, valves were standardized and spare parts were available worldwide. As it is, my save-a-dive kit is getting ominously large as the years go by.
oh yes, and storage is a headache too: a cool dry place, out of the influence of temperature extremes, ionizing radiation, smog, ozone etc.. it is amazing how some materials can deteriorate after just being exposed to the atmosphere for a while.
