When you wrote: (with respect to using a Pony bottle)

"Particlualry if you mount it using metal to metal connections which seems fashionable these days."

Are you refering to the X-bracket or similar methods of mounting a pony to the primary tank?

I was leaning more toward using twin Aluminum 60 or 80 cuft. This should give me pleny of air for dives to 80-100 ft.

BTW I am a newbie and taking an advanced openwater class right now, and I expect to do a "non-penetration" wreck dive in January. I may take a penetration class next summer.
