Why a bottom timer and not a regular computer to be extra safe? What about the second or third dive of the day? What are you going to do when you don't know how many pixels are still in the yellow or red areas? If you are using only a bottom timer, which I doubt, how sure are you it's accurate? I'm confused on what the real reson is that DIRists do not use a perfectly good computer to plan and monitor their dives throughot the day or even week if it's an extended trip?
