As I said in another post, I am not suggesting that you loose the computer until you have gained sufficient proficiency so as to render the computer not needed.. In other words, rather than relying on a computer I rely on my knowledge and understanding of the tables... This takes a while to learn but once you learn it you never have to worry again about spending ~ $300 on a computer, forgetting to turn it on, running out of batteries, etc...
It all speaks to a pre-dive mental focus that I hope more divers focus on..
