I dive Din exclusivly and dont have any need for a 6mm allen wrench, you may be talking of the conversion to yoke from Din, they are screw in thingambobs that need that wrench, but why one would use them is beyond me. The failure points you bring up are correct but the likleyhood of failure is lower in Din due to it captured state and the mechanical interface, as oppsed to the yokes open, non captured state, you can tighten the yoke enough to squeeze the oring out of its groove and cut it.
